I have been sewing for as long as I can remember having grown up watching my mum turn our dining room into her workroom. She taught me the basics – how to cut out a pattern, sew button holes, put in a zip – and generally how not to break her sewing machine or overlocker. Oh and never ever ‘borrow’ her cutting out scissors.
Now a mum myself, I sew for my daughters, myself and those around me.Although, I think I probably spend more time sewing for others than myself – but hopefully that is going to change!

You’ll also find a spot of knitting in amongst the sewn makes. I took to my needles again when I was pregnant with my first daughter and have been knitting ever since. Although confession time – I have a few too many unfinished projects for my liking and my stash will no longer fit in its box. Maybe I’ll have to take up crochet too!

Hope you enjoy looking around and I’d love to see your comments.
